We're officially open for business! The Faith Clinic has held three successful evenings, providing the medically uninsured in our community with FREE healthcare. On November 4, volunteers showed up for our kick-off at 6:00pm and we started seeing patients half an hour later. For our first night, we saw three patients and even had one woman come in just to have us pray with her! It was such a blessing to all of us and it made us excited to see what the Lord would do the following month. On December 2, despite the rush of the Christmas season, we had a great group of volunteers, from clinicians to greeters. Four patients were seen and one had a prayer time with our counseling volunteers. How wonderful! Then on January 6, we had a record number of patients. Fourteen came to the clinic that night and both Dr. Myles and Dr. Drozek experienced the joy of serving. This time four people received prayer and we were overwhelmed at the evidence of need in our area. With our numbers growing, we are in desparate need of volunteers! For now, we are only operating for one evening per month, from 6:30pm-8:30pm, although we can see it becoming necessary to add another night very soon. We are thrilled (and somewhat panicked!) to say that we are seeing the maximum amount of patients that we can handle with our current volunteer staff. What does that mean? We need your help! So many of you are praying for us and supporting us in other ways and we thank the Lord for your dedication. But we need a few more people who can volunteer in the clinic. We are hoping to see patients for two Tuesdays per month and would love to have two teams of people, especially in the clinician area.
